There is Never Downtime Here

Football has ended and basketball is in full swing. My two older boys are on two different leagues and my youngest on one. Believe me homework comes first!

You can tell each game becomes more intense because the more intense the less pictures I take. By the time we got to my oldest son’s game I had only taken two pictures.

My youngest son had his game first. It is with Upwards Basketball at our church.

It was a lot of fun watching these kids play.

His team won!

Then we had middle son. On his team they play three on three. I know it looks like we don’t feed this bean pole, but in reality he eats us out of house and home!

Middle BB

Here he is going for the basket. They won their game!

Then we had our oldest son’s game. My goodness does it get intense when they are older (hence why I only have one photo). Oldest son hit the back of his head on metal bleachers while driving for the ball and he also banged his head on the floor diving for the ball. He was fine, but it was enough to stop this mother’s heart. His team lost, but they played a very skilled team. So we were happy with the score!

Purses and Underwear

coach-20patchwork-20purse-small1While driving in the car with my youngest son, he was contemplating why I changed purses so much. You know that is right next to the thoughts about what he is going to eat when we arrive home.

Son: Mom why do you keep getting new purses?

Me: Well for one I did not buy this purse, Grandma gave me this purse last time we visited.

Son: Ok, but why did you change purses?

Me: It is winter time, and women like to change purses as the seasons change. It is kind of like shoes, women change shoes to match their outfit.

Son: But WHY do you change purses and shoes, what is wrong with the one that you had?

Me: We just do honey, we like to change shoes and purses about as often as you change underwear.

Son: (deep in thought) But I HAVE to change underwear….

(this is me with a big grin knowing I have instilled the Mom motto: make sure you have clean underwear on when you leave the house).

Ah, not sure how my son will do if he marries a girly girl. I am trying future daughter in laws, just know I am trying.

PS- No that is not my purse, but sure wish it was =)
