Looking Back

Wow summer began with a bang. It started out with this….

(only a summer cut, I was promised it will all be grown out by the time school begins)

and the week ended with my oldest receiving his learners permit.

Next week my youngest will be attending our church’s VBS, the women heading it up have put so much of their time in making everything perfect. It is going to rock!!

A couple of announcements…

1. Serious.Magazine has a new issue out. There are some great articles in there to read.

Serious.Life Magazine

2. Did you see this contest? It would mean the world to some people close to me if you read it.

3. Those who have WordPress, don’t fear the upgrade. The biggest difference I have noticed is with the widgets. It is nicely organized. Oh it does make searching for themes easier. But seriously Thesis is the best…I give you more details about Thesis on my community page.

<—— community page located over there

4. We will begin “Friday Revelation” every Friday now, here are some ground rules to read before the fun begins.

Ok now on to some wonderful links I read this week (due to having company I admit I did not do as much reading as I would have liked). I am going to select some wonderful links from my blogroll. If you link to me, let me know (as long as your blog is family friendly) I will link back.

So do you have a Birds and Bees story? Are you prepared?

I too was very close to my grandfathers, so Debbie’s story about her grandfather touched my heart.

I am a sucker for twins and have a heart for people who deal with infertility. I have twin nephews and my sister traveled the painful road of infertility, but sometimes like my sister found out (and I realize not all stories end this way)…there can be wonderful blessings after a painful struggle.

I am dreaming Red, White, & Blue. When those colors come out, that means our family will be heading north here soon. Can’t wait!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Looking Back

I am not even going to comment yet on the big graduation yesterday.  This mother is still pondering only having middle schoolers and a high schooler now. Sigh. Good news is that I have some family in town, so I am going to go love on some nieces and nephews.

Last Saturday I asked if there was an interest in an end times bible study, stay tuned for more information this coming Friday.  Since there is some niece and nephew loving to do, here are some links I have enjoyed this past week.

Here are some great links:

In case anyone missed my post on what frogs have to do with blogs and other great stuff - go read it. But I wanted to add a bonus, I am having it set up (not sure when it begins) that when a person COMMENTS or STARTS their own discussion in the community (hey ask me whatever)  you will show up on the front page of this blog. That gives readers (you!) exposure for just being here and additional exposure (you!) if you comment or begin a discussion on the community page. I believe this community page is going to be wonderful when we begin our end times study here on Fridays. Once again if you read my blogfrog post and this comment, and are still confused Holly would love to help you and she is really nice. (did I just set a world’s record of using the word “and,” ha!)

Debbie at Heart Choices had a great post on how to hear from God.

Bible Study Magazine and Harvest House Publishers are giving away 20 copies of Elizabeth George’s book, Understanding Your Blessings in Christ. Not only that, but they’re also giving away five subscriptions to Bible Study Magazine and a copy of their Bible Study Library software! Enter to win on the Bible Study Magazine Elizabeth George page, then take a look at all the cool tools they have to take your Bible study to the next level!

If you ever even thought about writing a book, this post (cracked me up) teachs readers how NOT to pitch your book.

Well that was not very Christian of you. ( a must read, will make you chuckle).

Have a great weekend!
