Minnesota Day 4

Dear Mom:

It will be mostly pictures because I am about ready to hit the bed (guess I talk to much, ha). I was worn out today ( shhhh don’t tell my boys I said that because they are the ones who actually had to work all day today). Today was a day to get chores done.

Grandpa had them carrying wood, cleaning out the new pontoon boat, and getting the “boys” boat ready for fishing tomorrow (the boys boat is the one seen above). The two older boys will now be driving in their own personal boat for the first time. Oldest son is the driver. I am trying not to act like a total Mom and let on how this kind of freaks me out, but Grandma and Grandpa have had oldest son drive the boat a lot today to practice.

Despite being a work day today, Grandpa made sure to take some time out for some fun.

We went into town to try a new restaurant and of course I ate way to much. Then walked around town. Tuesday nights is the Farmer’s Market night where they have booths set up to sell anything from homemade soaps to jewelry and also food. We bought some homemade banana bread and cinnamon swirl bread. Can’t wait to try them! It was a nice “small town” atmosphere where everyone comes out to socialize.

I have already finished one book and now I am reading Pilgrims Progress. I am not sure if I read it when I was younger or not, but I am enjoying reading it now. Tomorrow the boys are going fishing, my mother in law has a rotary meeting in town, so I will once again do the hard work of putting my feet up and read a good book. I am soaking in the cool weather for you!

Chat with you soon!!

Nope, not having any fun at all….

This view is just torture to wake up to….

Dock Fishing

The vivid blue skies are just ordinary…

Ok in all seriousness, there is one person not having fun. But there was no fish hurt in the taking of this picture (he was sent on his merry way after we lovingly removed the hook =).

Poor Bass

I think all of us will cry when we have to get back into the car and head home (except the fish that is).

As a side note: If you get a chance head on over the the July issue of CWO. I really loved the lady I interviewed this month.
