Looking Back

This week was up and down and up, but God is faithful.  There were struggles where I wondered where God was, then there was rejoicing in seeing spiritual growth.

Oh and the time where I tried to erase this whole blog (not really but I messed it up good), went to bed sad thinking “well I guess Lord you are trying to tell me something because everything just went wrong today.”  I did shoot an email off to WebExMedia hoping they could perform some sort of miracle as I slept (or at least laid in bed staring at the ceiling).

Woke up the next morning to an email saying it was all fixed.  I told my husband, “Honey whatever I pay for webhosting it is not enough they work miracles.”  He smiled and said, “Well if you wouldn’t mess with things then they would not HAVE to work miracles.”  (heheh, yep I am dangerous sometimes)

Ever have a week where if you have an area where satan can attack you, he did.  Seriously in almost every area close to me there was something.  Some times you feel like throwing you hands up in frustration.  But as I said even in the midst of some hard times this week, God is faithful.

Even when you want to scream why, God is faithful.

Even when God feels distant, he is still faithful.

I have to admit I spent the first half of this week asking God where he was, but by Friday I had the biggest simile on my face knowing he is working even when we don’t see it.  GOD IS FAITHFUL.

I do hope you had a better week than I did, but if not rejoice in the Lord.  Why?

Psm 68:19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.

Do Long Blog Posts Scare Away Readers?

I have often been asked if I will be reviewing The Shack, my answer is no.  But if I ever did I would say “yeah, what he said.“  Plus he says it better than I ever could.

Have a great long weekend.

Looking Back

Life has been busy and I have a feeling it is about to get busier with school starting soon. I am excited to have one more vacation before we get back to normal routine. I am running away to visit with my family and with Iris and Debbie next weekend. I can not wait to see my nieces and nephews. Last time I saw some of them they were just born and now they are walking. My family knows I love them, who else would be crazy enough to come visit Phoenix in August! I am taking my youngest son with me, so we are both walking around the house counting the days. So who knows how much I will be blogging in the next two weeks.

Looking Back

Blessings from unexpected places.  Many times when there is a situation that is stressing me out or causing  me to worry I take it to the Lord and cry out to him and he provides comfort.  Many times the situation does not change but my perspective on things does.  This last week I had a terrible day and half and one day my quiet time consisted of me literally throwing myself down and crying.  I could not even bring myself to concentrate on His word.  I got up, dusted myself off, tried to dry my eyes and walked out to go to work.  As soon as I opened my email box a sweet friend emailed me and said, “The Lord brought you to mind during my quiet time and then she ask about a certain area where I was stressing about.”  It blew me out of the water because I had not talked to anyone.  Then later that day I had met up with a girlfriend and the Lord blessed me by her friendship and caring.  Then the Lord gave me an opportunity to smooth out the area of conflict in my life and it went beautifully.

Does this happen all the time? NO.  God does meet me where I am all the time and he is listening to me all the time, but some times….just sometimes he takes it a step further and in tangible way to remind me “Hey I heard every word.”  I  pray I never stop being in awe of God, of his grace and mercy, and of his compassion.  Sweet friend if life is not going as planned be comforted that God hears you.  Every word.  Sometimes Satan would like us to believe he doesn’t and sometimes God uses those times of conflict to develop a desire within ourselves to seek Him out, but know that he hears and that he cares.  Even about the little things.
