Looking Back

This week was up and down and up, but God is faithful.  There were struggles where I wondered where God was, then there was rejoicing in seeing spiritual growth.

Oh and the time where I tried to erase this whole blog (not really but I messed it up good), went to bed sad thinking “well I guess Lord you are trying to tell me something because everything just went wrong today.”  I did shoot an email off to WebExMedia hoping they could perform some sort of miracle as I slept (or at least laid in bed staring at the ceiling).

Woke up the next morning to an email saying it was all fixed.  I told my husband, “Honey whatever I pay for webhosting it is not enough they work miracles.”  He smiled and said, “Well if you wouldn’t mess with things then they would not HAVE to work miracles.”  (heheh, yep I am dangerous sometimes)

Ever have a week where if you have an area where satan can attack you, he did.  Seriously in almost every area close to me there was something.  Some times you feel like throwing you hands up in frustration.  But as I said even in the midst of some hard times this week, God is faithful.

Even when you want to scream why, God is faithful.

Even when God feels distant, he is still faithful.

I have to admit I spent the first half of this week asking God where he was, but by Friday I had the biggest simile on my face knowing he is working even when we don’t see it.  GOD IS FAITHFUL.

I do hope you had a better week than I did, but if not rejoice in the Lord.  Why?

Psm 68:19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.

Do Long Blog Posts Scare Away Readers?

I have often been asked if I will be reviewing The Shack, my answer is no.  But if I ever did I would say “yeah, what he said.“  Plus he says it better than I ever could.

Have a great long weekend.

Looking Back

Thank you for your kind comments concerning my first video blog. And if you missed me making fun of myself, see here.

Taking a vacation the week before school begins, has me all discombobulated. I was forced to face the fact that all my children are out of elementary school now. With two in middle school and one in high school, testosterone HAS been running rapid around here.   S  I  G  H I sure miss the baby baby stage……except for the up all night, oh and the poopy diapers, and the loud crying for no reason-no matter what you do.  Besides that, I miss the baby baby stage.  I miss the smell after bath time, or a huge belly laugh, or cooing and smiling.  Think manly man will let me start over again?  Yeah me neither, I think he is looking to forward to retirement. Oh wait what was I talking about, sorry began day dreaming there… oh yeah teenagers.

Don’t get me wrong I am enjoying each stage of all my boys life (well maybe I am anxiously waiting for maturity to hit my 8th grader a bit, but that is to be expected).  Anyways along with the joys are also challenges.   Trying to keep them fed is a challenge but compound that with a son who is participating in cross country and runs a minimum of 2 to 7 miles after school, my food bill is soaring to new heights. Oldest son even had the gull to come home and tell me that his running coach said I was not feeding him enough.

I said, really??? Did the coach see you devour 7 slices of pizza the other night, or 3 pieces of chicken the night before, not to mention the bag of cookies that only lasted 2 days?? YiYiYiYi  Anyways, change of subject.

I had a wonderful evening Wed night teaching Kathy Howard’s bible study “Before His Throne.” There were some technical difficulties on my part, oh and the fact that I showed up to my own bible study with no…BIBLE, but besides these snags we have a wonderful group. I am so excited to see how God will move in these next nine weeks.

Have a wonderful weekend and I would love to read how your week went.  Did “back to school” go smoothly for you?  Also I have a question about video blogging on my community page that I would love your thoughts on.

Here are some great reads for this weekend:

I loved reading this post about contentment.

I have to say I am tossing around an idea of re-thinking how I do Facebook.

This looks yummy, linking so I can come back and make these.

Off to meet a new blogger friend in real life. I am excited, but nervous.

Looking Back

Life has been busy and I have a feeling it is about to get busier with school starting soon. I am excited to have one more vacation before we get back to normal routine. I am running away to visit with my family and with Iris and Debbie next weekend. I can not wait to see my nieces and nephews. Last time I saw some of them they were just born and now they are walking. My family knows I love them, who else would be crazy enough to come visit Phoenix in August! I am taking my youngest son with me, so we are both walking around the house counting the days. So who knows how much I will be blogging in the next two weeks.

Below are some links you may enjoy:

I wrote about the article I saw on Albert Mohler’s blog in this post. Can I just say, I LOVED LOVED all the comments I received.
