Photo Improvement Contest

Brent Riggs over at Building a Better Blog is running a contest on improving a photo. I am by no means an expert but I had fun playing with the photo. Plus I was a big Cowboys fan when Troy was playing. =)  (note to Brent: higher resolution please =))))


Here you can see the two together.

I am not very good at remembering the process I used but I did take some notes:

Ran PW Set 1 Boost reduced Zing to 44% opacity

Flatten Image

Ran PW Set 1 Edge Burn, 44% opacity

Erased the middle portion with the brush set to 79% opacity

Flatten

Multiplied Reduced to 34% opacity

Erased the edges with 300soft brush set to 79% opacity

Flatten

Unsharp Mask

    You are right – the best is high resolution on fixing photos.
