Thankful Thursday

Iris talks about possibilities this week on Thankful Thursday. That seems to be a running theme in my life lately also. I have seen God open some doors I never thought would be possible for me to walk through; also doors have opened that part of me is scared to walk through.  I am relying on God to lead directly (remember I am the type of girl that likes to stick her big toe in the water first and see how it is.  Jumping in scares the dickens out of me =).

1. I am thankful to have a Mom that can hear my “uglies” but still only see “my best.” I am blessed.

2. I am thankful we were able to buy a dryer this week without breaking the bank.  It is not a fancy front loader, but it drys clothes and that is fine by me! =)

3. I am happy my oldest son’s first round of high school finals are finally completed.  I believe I was reliving some of the “stress” for him.  I become twitchy when it comes to big exams.

4. I am loving my End Times bible study.  Come Lord quickly =)  I do want to say Israel will be holding elections here in 2009 (very shortly) I believe we need to pray that Binyamin Netanyahu, is elected!  He is against Israel giving away land, where the others are in favor of peace treaty’s that promote Israel giving away some of its land.   And we need to pray the US always stays on the side of Israel.  (oh I could talk so much more but I will stop =)

5. I am excited to be hosting Thankful Thursday for the next two weeks while my sweet friends is playing with her “possibilities.”

6. I am thankful my son is feeling better and crossing my fingers that the rest of us stay healthy.

Have a great Thursday.  The kids are excited because it is a long weekend (they are off Friday and Monday).  Ugg Calgon take me away.

Be sure to visit Grace Alone for more Thankful Thursdays.

  1. Hi Lori, thanks for sharing your thankful heart with us. Thank God for His many blessings upon you and family. Looking forward to your hosting Thankful Thursday. Hope you have a great day. Take care and God bless!

  2. Lori, I envy your dryer. Before the weather turned bad, I used my clothes line, but that’s not working so good this week. We have 2 dryers and neither one can dry a load of clothes. Thankfully one of them will dry a few things at a time. We’re just praying for more sunny days.

I’ve left you a little something over at my blog.

  5. Lori, Thanks for sharing your thankful heart with us. I would *love* to do an end times Bible study! Last night I watched Grant Jeffrey on Bible Prophecy Revealed (TBN) and continued to be amazed at the fulfillment of prophecy. We do need to pray for Israel and for our country to definitely remain on their side. If a peace treaty is brokered in exchange for peace…I’m going to be like you. I gotta stop here. Great post! Happy Thankful Thursday!

  6. A wonderful list Lori. I have the same kind of Mom. Even at my age, she’s the first one I call for any and every reason. I’m still “sweetie” to her and it is so comforting.

  7. Oh Lori,

I just want to hug you. I want to praise Jesus for what He is doing in your life. The doors He has opened. I know, really understand, how you feel… Our Lord is so very good.

Thank you my friend for hosting TT these next two weeks. I LOVE Thursdays and will be here next week. Have a blessed day. Sending you a GIANT hug!!

  9. I can SO relate with your #2. Everytime we buy something, I’m always concerned whether it would break our carefully patched wallets! Happy Thursday!
