Thankful Thursday

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
~ Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV)

Is it really Thursday already? Seriously where did the beginning of the week go?
This has been a “normal” week; no really valleys, no real peaks…ever have one of those? Life as usual in the Wreath household. Sorry this is up a bit late, with the time change I go to bed before you all even get on the computer sometimes ;) ) And for someone who has a birthday coming up next week, I need ALL the beauty sleep I can get!

1. I am thankful that my Dad is healing well after having some more cancer cells removed from his ear (the second time). He has a great Dr that keeps on top of the skin cancer that pops up.

2. I am thankful for a wonderful sister in law. She is a joy, and encouragement, and just plain adorable. My brother did good….

3. I am thankful for all the books I get to read and review for Christian Women Online’s Book Buzz. Seriously I got a book two days ago in the mail, I recognized the author as one I LOVE and I so was giddy. So much so I woke up at 1am, and decided to start reading this book. I am just a nut when it comes to reading.

4. I am thankful for my hubby. He makes me laugh, and it is a joy for me each day when I see him walk in the door. After 14 years my heart still skips a beat, I know I am blessed.

5. And guess what I opened up my email this morning and I won something, WOW thanks Angie

Have a great Thrusday, visit my friend Iris for more Thankful Thursdays.

  1. Glad to know I’m not the only one reading books at 1 am! My husband thinks I’m crazy. It’s good to have even keel weeks too, isn’t it?

  2. Laurel, God always knows what we need and sends it at the exact time. He is so awesome! No one in the flesh is perfect and as long as we walk this earth we will make mistakes but I am thankful today for God’s grace and forgiveness. The enemy tries to discourage us and rob us of our victories but God is always there with outstretched arms and big hugs. He loves you and is doing an awesome work through you.

    Love and Blessings!

  3. Oh – you won the awesome book – how cool, congratulations…
I already have a little gift in mind to ship to you–I better get it done by tomorrow so arrives in time.

I am so happy that you are enjoying the BookBuzz. Wow getting up at 1am to read a book – I don’t think I could do that. But then again I usually don’t get to bed until 11:30 – lol

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

    Be blessed today and always.

  4. So glad your Dad is doing ok! I am crazy when reading books too! I guess you aren’t the only one!
    Thanks for being my friend!
    Blessings

  5. {hanging head} I haven’t been reading here as much as I should be …

But I’m thankful I stopped by today! Wonderful post :) I’m jealous about the books — I’ve just recently gotten into Karen Kingsbury books — LOVE them! Seriously, I have not been a reader — but I never knew what I was missing until now!

    Have a blessed day!

  6. I enjoyed reading your TT. Congrats on the book!! Yay! If you have time stop by my place for a special prayer request. God bless you!

  7. Blessings to you this Thankful Thursday. So good to know they’re catching those skin cells with your dad. Hubby needs to go for a melanoma recheck–thanks for reminding me.

Take care and have a great weekend!

  8. Hi my friend,

Had a minute to stop in and visit. I always enjoy your TT list. Was facinated by the post above about the blogging community. I have to go pick up my daughter from school so I will stop back again and read.

Have a great weekend. Love and hugs, Lynn
