Homemade Gift Exchange

WHITE CHOCOLATE CHEX MIX

This one I use for gifts, I make up large batches and then fill some pretty plastic containers with a nice Christmas bow. This give you the salty/sweet combination.

3 c. Rice Chex
3 c. Corn Chex
3 c. Cheerios
3 c. pretzels
2 c. peanuts
12 oz. M & M’s
1 lb. white chocolate (I use white bark chocolate)

Melt chocolate. Mix with Chex, Cheerios, pretzels and nuts. Continue to mix and break up until white chocolate is completely dry. Add M & M’s. Enjoy.

  1. Not only does that sound yummy, and like a great gift idea…..it is aobut my “cooking speed”.

Thanks for sharing. I might just try this out. the trick will be not eating it before I have a chance to give it away :)

  2. Thanks for that link….lots of good ideas…I’m going on a cyber search for those double lemon delight cookies…I love the white chocolate chex mix by the way :)

  3. Perfect! I dont really like the other kind of Chex, but anything with white chocolate, and it makes a big bunch of it. Perfect for the neighbors. Thanks so much for the idea and recipe.

  4. I will have to try this. My daughter and I love white chocolate so much that it may never make it to an actual gift.

  5. I seem to see you wherever I go, so thought I would stop by and visit. This is a wonderful blog. I need to catch up a bit – so I’ll be back. That looks like an absolutley delicious gift!!

  6. YUM! I do something like this for my daughter. Use the same combo of salty and then add seasonal candy (not melted)- like candy corn, Christmas M&M’s, etc. Makes a cute treat bag.

  7. LOVE this idea! I’m going to try it this year… sort of like Jen’s White Lightening recipe! Yum.

And, I love the picture, because I’m such a visual person, ya know what I mean?!
