Ok I am going to need some help.
I can cook (when I have a recipe) “winging it” has not been my thing. So I need some fish recipes (and this will be my cat when I do cook fish).
I have been told that when I get my rubber bands off in a week, soft fish is one of the best and most healthy ways to begin my chewing again.I am embarrassed to say the only kind of fish I know how to cook is “fish sticks” bought in your local freezer section. No crunchy stuff, things need to be soft.
How do I go about buying good fish?
Have any good, fish rubs?
And the biggie how do I cook it?

All I know about buying fresh fish is that if it smells “fishy” it’s not fresh.
I like to poach fillets in 1 cup water, with sliced lemons, fresh ground pepper and sliced onions just just until it flakes with a fork. It doesn’t take long.
That’s about it for my fish knowledge. Sad now that I look at it.
I cook fish all the time! I buy the large bags of Salmon, Tilapia and Shrimp at Sam’s in the frozen section. I’ll e-mail you a couple of really great recipes later today when the children are unconscious!

Fish really isn’t my thing because it tastes…well fishy. So sorry, no recipes here! Sounds like you’re improving well though if you’re talking about chewing again!
I usually cook salmon for my Sweetheart and I. I just get it fresh from the ‘meat-counter’, sprinkle it with some lemon-juice, let it set for 10 minutes, add Salt, Pepper and Dill, add dullubs of butter, bake it for about 25 minutes – ready to eat

Sorry I don’t have any fish recipes. Come to think of it, I do have a recipe for fish chowder which is really good. If you like soups I’d be glad to share it with you.
Other than that, in order to get seafood in my diet, we usually go to Red Lobster after church on saturday night. Great stuff!!

We like Tilapia, it’s not too fishy. One very simple way is to put a filet of fish in a foil packet with a bit of olive oil and some veggies of your choice (I often do green peppers, onion slices, carrots, zucchini, etc). Bake at 425 for 15-20 min until the fish is flaky. Serve with rice if you’d like. Super easy, and no cleanup! Squeeze some lemon on top along with some salt and pepper.
I love fish too but I hate cleaning them. I have them cleaned in the market when I buy them.

Fish. Hmmm. I buy tilapia. It’s very mild and really easy to cook. I simply rub a little butter, salt and pepper on it and broil it for a few minutes on each side. It’s my favorite fish except for catfish which is impossible to get here in Colorado. (You can get it here but it’s not good – the cooks don’t know what they’re doing.)
One more week – yippee!
