Oh wow!

I'm glad he's alright. What a way to break in a holiday. Poor guy.

I'm glad he's okay. And thankfully, you have insurance to cover these emergencies.

When my boy was one and a half, we had some friends over playing cards and letting the kids play with toys. Their son threw a sippy cup at my son's head, stunned him and then he fell on the edge of the train table. Blood everywhere from a gash on his hairline. I was calm, I was collected. I wasn't mad or anything. I just asked the other boy's mom who was a nurse if my boy needed stitches. SHE proceeded to tell me not to freak out, it was okay and most likely it would heal and not scar. I never understood her reaction. Needless to say, the playing was over, not from our side. I think they were so mortified, they just had to gather their kids and leave. Hmph. And I was winning too.

(Actually, I really was fine. What got to me was when our girl saw the bloody handprint on the wall and started bawling because her brother was hurt... which really is quite ironic because now she would try to give him a bloody nose if she could get away with it.)

Oh no. Poor little guy. I'm glad it wasn't any more serious than this but still, what a way to spend a holiday. And yes, we should remember to thank all the people who are there for us, working away, on a holiday.
