Thank You

by Lori

Thank you It is known around my house, I don’t age gracefully; I tend to fight it tooth and nail. So each morning when it is my birthday my poor hubby does not know what to say, a simple “happy birthday” has been known to send me to tears. It is not that I don’t like birthdays, I love the presents, I just don’t like the extra addition of a year to my age. =)

BUT when I open my email to many well wishes and see the comments on my blog and have tons of well wishes on my Facebook, how I am suppose to feel down. I am so blessed.

I see the sweetest best wishes from my friend Iris. I am so blessed.

Then I get the sweetest note from my sister in law that had me boo-hooing. I am so blessed.

Then I have my sweet nieces and sister call and sing happy birthday over the phone, how am I suppose to stay depressed. I am so blessed.

I am sharing my birthday with my daddy, how could I be sad. I am so blessed.

I woke up this morning wanting to be depressed, not ready for the day. Heck, for the first time in a long time I stayed in bed until 10am, really not wanting to face the day.

But with family and friends like you. I AM SO BLESSED!

I have found a way to keep my boys away from my stuff. One word…PINK. What ever I have that is pink they stay away from, hubby knowing this and knowing I have been living life with out a computer because mine died….blessed me with this:

dell-flamingo-pink

I TRULY AM BLESSED. (Merry Birthday and Happy Christmas to me) No boys allow on this pink laptop. I will be anxiously await its arrival on Wednesday.

Thank you for all the well wishes this Sunday.

Wow – what a cool gift :) – I can’t even imagine to wait for an arrival like that – hehe….I am glad that you have been blessed today, my sweet friend. You know, getting older is not always great, but I don’t see myself getting older – only wiser  – My heart always feels like 20ish – just can’t tell that my body – it likes to ache

Happy, happy birthday, my sweet friend!!!!

Happy birthday, though it is almost over now. :-) And as a mom of boys, I discovered the pink angle, too.

Sugar pie…you are awesome at any age! Happy Birthday! I meant to call…but I Have had a young boy here today who—had some difficulties…needless to say..I stayed home with him from church—papa went though.

I have got to get me some books on Autism. I have GOT to get a handle on helping my daughter deal with the changes he is going through. WE are ALL going through ;)

Hope your birthday was a GOOD ONE! Pink is YOUR COLOR!!!

Love you girl!

I’m simple when it comes to birthdays, although I’d love the pink laptop. My MIL felt bad that she gave me something that was in her kitchen (barely used) as a gift. but it was something that i wanted. and just having family together for lunch yesterday was gift enough. Seriously. I love hanging with the fam. I just wish my mom could be here too. Only 5 weeks until we get to see her again!

Okay, I’ll quit hijacking your comment section. Hope you had a great birthday! it made my day knowing that we shared yesterday. {{Hugs}}

I’m so glad to read about your special day. Your hubby is very smart buying that perfect gift! A pink laptop; hmm…looks too cool.

As far as the age goes, I’m amazed that no matter how many years go by, inside I still feel very young (maybe 30 ish? yeah, I wish).

Don’t let the numbers get you down and don’t think you have to start acting a certain way because of it. Be yourself and let the child inside be active. I think that creates a sense of fun and adventure …and keeps you young!

A belated happy birthday to you, Laurel. Trust me – you’re young! LOL

I love your new pink computer – very clever to go with pink to keep your boys out of your stuff. LOL
