Hopefully I am Raising My Boys Better Than my Cat

In Small Town Florida we have a lot of stray cats. There is a house that has no one living in it, and I think all stray cats have taken up residency. My heart goes out to the stray cats but I personally can not afford to care for each and every one. The funny thing is most of the cats look like MY cat, and I know what you are thinking but our cat was “fixed” a long time ago. So no, we are not fathering a slew of stray cats.

The sweet older lady across the street is another story. She feeds ALL.OF.THEM. {sigh} If that was not bad enough, guess who plops his big hiney down in the middle and “pretends” he is a “poor kitty.” Yep you got it, my cat (the one who eats a lot inside the house, goes outside and pretends he is a stray).

I have pictures to prove it. Here are two homeless kitties minding their own business, trying to get some food the sweet older lady leaves out.  Poor cat on the right looks like he has seen better days.  Of course I kind of look like that first thing in the morning too.

Oh look who do we have here approaching the sweet homeless kitties? It is my FAT GARFIELD. Doesn’t he know with that waddle he can not get away with looking like a stray?

Now my cat thinks he is all that. He is trying the big stare down. How I wish I could speak “kittyese” to let them in on a little secret….my cat has no claws!!

Fat Cat Take Over!!

Not only did my claw less wonder intimidate the other sweet homeless kitties, he went in for the food!

The moral of this story is: IT IS BETTER TO GIVE THEN RECEIVE, UNLESS YOU ARE A CAT! (off to donate to the Human Society or to the sweet lady across the street because I feel so guilty with my cat stealing “poor kitty” food.)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
