Did any one miss me?

It sure felt good to be back in my own bed. It is always great to leave on vacation and always nice to return. Here are some of the million of photos I took:

Do you like my new design? I think simplicity is my goal right now. I admit I left on vacation burned out. Burned out on blogging, on reviewing, burned out on life in general. I let my perspective become skewed. Things that should not upset me were getting to me, my focus was on things that did not matter. I was focused on things the world says is important, but things that don’t matter to God. It is so easy to look at others and feel they receive all the breaks. I was left wondering why God would even want to use “little ‘ol me.” I told God “so and so” is so much more spiritual than me, they communicate better than me, they have more opportunities to share your word, they have a larger audience. I said, “Lord I don’t think what I do matters.”

Know how God responded?

He was silent.

He let me “tell” him all my excuses, he let me have my pity party. He let the tears fall and he comforted, but was silent. I said, “Lord what do you want me to do, where do you want me to go?” But I did not have any big revelation.

Then on my way home I listened to a sermon where the Lord spoke to my heart. The speaker shared about how he is not a preacher and how God led him to speak but he did not feel qualified. Long story short, God laid three words on my heart.

FEED MY SHEEP. Even if it is one person or 100…FEED MY SHEEP.

That will be my focus for right now. I am not going to look at numbers, I won’t look at size, or opportunities others seem to have. Whoever visits me here I want them to know Jesus loves them, no matter what.

My focus will be simply come and visit, hopefully you read something that helps you grow closer to God, and then go share with others about Jesus.

Come, Grow, and Go

Oh and thanks for visiting me on my BlogFrog Community Jess from Follow the Journey won the $25 Amazon Gift certificate. CONGRATS!!

Second ~ Awesome photos ~ you look great girl!!!
Third ~ Love your new design
Last but not least (maybe this should have been #1) ~ you don't know how much I needed to read this post this morning. I am with you – the numbers don't matter, if one or 100's. Just keep sharing…

    Welcome back, my friend!!!!

  2. I missed you! I'm glad you had a great vacation, and I'm glad you got to spend time with Him. I love the pics! I love the collage…and I love your new design! I need a new one too, I'm pretty over my old one but my head hurts at the very thought of thinking about a new one. Also, I joined BlogFrog. I don't have a clue what to do with it, but I joined…lol!

  3. Yeah!!! I will join your community. If you have any questions let me know,
I am officially on the BlogFrog Community Leaders board. (not sure what
that means) but I do have to tell you that Holly and Rusty (co-owers) ROCK!

  4. Of course you were missed! Welcome home.

Sounds like you and I are have been having similar discussions with God lately. Sounds like we got similar responses. Thanks for this reminder to my own heart!

  5. I have been blog surfing through Laced with Grace today and yours was on my first set of blogs. When I saw your picture, I thought…”I know that lady” and of course I do through all the devotions you write and I enjoy.

I'm one of those 1 that you feed and I've never said thank you. So I'm glad that I found your blog today so that I could do that.

  6. I'm so glad that your vacation ended up perfect with you hearing from God. That sermon was what you needed to hear. I think it's important not to focus on numbers, although it's easy to get caught up in it. I think when people know you care, they will listen. However, I think I've told you before that most of my real live friends don't read my blog or if they do hardly ever leave a comment. What can you do? Just keep on doing what God last told you to do. For you, that seems clear: Feed my sheep!!!!

You're very special to me Lori. You may not even know how much you've helped and encouraged me in my blogging. So, please keep at it. Love you friend.
