10 Reasons Why I Love Fall

Fall is my favorite time of the year. Even though I do live in Florida and cold weather does not appear until January, it does become cooler. These are 10 reasons why I love this season (in no particular order).

1. I love the colors of Fall.  In fact my house is decorated mostly in fall colors.

2. Fall Festivals

Ok I want to cry when I look at this picture, because my “little” boy is no longer little and he is now a big middle schooler.

3. Cooler weather.

My favorite pastime is to curl up with a book and a cup of something hot.

6. My Anniversary

This year we celebrated 16 years. Lord knows I could not raise these boys myself and the Lord blessed me with a wonderful husband and a great father to my kids.

7.  Banana Bread
Sure sometimes we have this during other seasons, but we have it more so during the Fall season.

8. Cute, Sassy Boots. Love wearing boots.

These are not my boots, but I have some similar (heel not as high). I love wearing boots during the Fall.

9. Presents for my birthday.

Just wish the presents did not come with adding another year to my life, especially since I only have one more year in my 30′s. But we won’t talk about that, k? This is what my sweet hubby is going to get me.  He forgot the account was in my name, so I received the confirmation email after he ordered it.  But I don’t care I love early birthday presents (my bday is not until the 19th). I am giddy with a capitol “G.”  Any suggestions for Apps?

It has not been an easy year, but I have so much to be thankful for.

  1. It's my favorite time of the year, too, Lori! I love the colors, the cool, crisp air, the sound of leaves crunching under your feet, and the smells – oh wow! Pumpkin, cinnamon, apple cider.

Thanks for this post. Your top ten is awesome…take a picture of you in your boots with your new i-phone, girl!

  2. I too love Fall!!! Cooler weather for one thing. Glad I have the right date of you bday in my calendar – hehe…Looks like a cool phone…not so versed in cell phones, so I don't know where you would get apps for it – lol…

  3. I love fall too. Clear blue sky days, leaves turning colors, soup, muffins, gingerbread. Lots to love. Happy Birthday to you!

  4. I'm a Floridian that loves fall too- but I live in New England now.

It may sound silly but I think it's a romantic time of year. All the colors, the smell of the leaves, the crisp air and blustery winds- ah makes me want to go outside.

Maybe I'll bring a good book and warm banana bread with me :)

    Thanks for sharing!

  5. I love fall too! It seems more this year than ever. You will love your Iphone. I've got several good Apps for you. And, my little guys is starting soccer soon.

  6. Awesome, I will email you when I get it up and running. Hopefully will come in the mail today, not that I am waiting by my mailbox or anything. =)

  7. I really love the colours of the pictures, especially the last. They indeed reflect the fall perfectly. Those colours are what I like most about the fall I guess.

  8. Good work, fellow ProBlogger!

Fall is definitely an awesome season, and I have spent many fantastic days out walking in coloured leaves with that great leafy smell in the air, along with a distant wood-burning fire (which lets the trees know who's boss <grin>).

I use an Iphone also and like SaiSuke for my email, Twitterific, Favorator for quick dialing and texting, and WeatherPro. Photogene is a good photo editor and Newsstand is an excellent RSS news reader.

    Cheers !

  9. Rob,

Thank you so much. I am writing down these suggestions for when my iPhone arrive, I was very sad it did not arrive today. But maybe tomorrow! Thank you for stopping by.

  10. I love fall too…and banana bread. The best thing I love about fall besides the changing of the leaves is the smell of a fireplace on cool fall evening.

  11. This post gets five stars from me because Fall is my favorite time of the year, too. I even have a Fall landscape on my desktop – year round.

  12. Great minds think alike. :-) I blogged about my love of autumn today and it's my favorite time of year as well. Congrates on getting a new iPhone. I absolutely love mine. In fact, I was shocked at how much I enjoy this phone. Be sure to check out the free Dictionary app (I'm a terrible speller and this app is perfect for me). Also a few other favorite apps are the free WordPress app and Facebook. Enjoy!

  13. Thank you for stopping by. Ahh fireplace I too love that, in Florida we don't have that much of an opportunity for one. ;)

  14. I love fall too, despite living in Phoenix. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Happy early birthday! What a great gift your hubby is getting you too. Love you girl.

  15. I wish I could say something beautiful and profound but the complete and honest truth is my favorite thing about Fall is that it's not Summer or Winter! That's my favorite thing about Spring, too.

Oh and I love being able to make delicious soups and stews again. I always miss them so much by mid-August.

  17. I love this list post! Fall is my favorite season, too! Like you, I live in a warm climate (Arizona) and you have to look really fast or fall will pass you by. But my house is decorated in fall colors, and every year I look forward to hanging an awesome autumn wreath on my front door.

    Love your blog!

  18. Thank you so much. Did you know I grew up in AZ? I know what you mean!!
Living in Florida you don't get that much of a “Fall” feeling either but I
    still love it.

    Thanks for stopping by.
