I have done things I was thoroughly convinced were God's will that turned out way differently than I had expected. The awesome thing is that God knew exactly how it would turn out and He called me to do it anyway. The process is still hard so I just have to try to trust that God has the results in His hands. In my experience sometimes the hard process is exactly what God wants us to go through. Ah!

Awesome post. I love what you said about the ease of the superficial Christian life, and also about digging deep before you lay the foundation. I have seen believers who just want to stop and go hide in a hole when their faith is challenged via a situation. In fact, I have been there before myself, lol!

But that is the time when we have to stay the course, as you say, and live what we believe. Running away is not the answer but running to Him is!

~ Nan

Ha - have I been there, my friend. Yes, sometimes growth hurts, but like you said "...but once the builder came to the firm foundation, there was NOTHING that could shake him."
Some of my bruises still show, but I know that they have a purpose (I still have find out for what though *sigh*)
