Ok I admit it and I did mention I may need intervention before, but I am known to follow “this is a new blog toy” crowd. I was not going to give in at first when I saw it on McMama’s and then I saw it again on Bring The Rain, but I still did not know how it would fit in with my Thesis Theme. Finally I saw it on MattFlies blog and I was sold.
What is it? DISQUS
This allows me to comment back to you, but ALSO you can hit the little reply button and respond to other people who leave comments. I think it will also allow people also to use Facebook & Twitter to comment as well. Still figuring that part out. Don’t worry you don’t need to be “registered” at DISQUS to comment. If you are registered it keeps track of comments you leave on all DISQUS blogs (kind of cool). As my boys say, that is total “powange.” (please don’t ask me to define that word, I can’t. ha!)
I am having a bit of trouble importing my contacts I have Twittered and emailed DISQUS and I am hoping they will get back with me soon. But I still think it is a neat cool “toy.” Figured it out. But McMama had this warning on her post:
- ………do you love my new comment system but hate getting all the comments after yours sent to your inbox? You are not alone. If this describes you, just click on “comments” below a post. Right below the box where you’d comment, there will be a small envelope with the words “subscribe by email” or “unsubscribe.” Clicking on those will opt you in or out of that feature!
Between BlogFrog and Disqus I am “powange.” (I think that means I am cool, but if I have to ask my boys then I am not cool…so we will leave it at that).
Hey do you link to my blog? You do! Then add your link to my Blog Frog community (click where it says “Become A Friend”).
OH AND ONE LAST THING!!! Do you own a camera? If you do they are having a great cute, sassy strap giveaway. They are darling at Iheartfaces
Have a great “over the hump” day!
