Changing of Seasons

Wow it is almost September!  September/October/November are my favorite time of the year.  I love the changing of seasons from summer to fall, and look forward to cooler weather.  Of course here in Florida, cooler weather does not appear until December or January, ha!  I have to admit I am a bit on the stressed side concerning September there is a lot on my plate.

  1. I am very excited about the bible study a group of us at church are working our way through.  I have found studying a bible study teaches you a lot, but teaching a bible study humbles you and places your face on the ground before the Lord.

  2. There are also a number of wonderful books coming out next month (to stay up-to-date click “Follow This Blog” on the right hand side here). I have been reading my heart out and can not wait to share them with you.

  3. I am also on the senior team of a new network for Christian Women called Christian Women Affiliate.  (pronounced Affili8 )  It is not open to the public (or even me yet, ha!) but let me tell you it is going to be a wonderful resource for women.  “Connecting Christian Women with other Christian Women who have Businesses, Blogs, Ministries online. And for connecting the Christian women who are trying to find them,” through the largest most comprehensive directory of Christian Women Online.  That is all I can say for now, but stay tuned!

  4. Ummm I’m being interviewed for the first time.  Yeah, I am worried also!  When writing I can sometimes take back what I said but when being interviewed on a BlogTalk radio show there is no taking back something stupid.  I will be thinking about how my Mom will be listening and counting how many “umm’s” I utter.  ha!  I will let you know more closer to the time, it is not until the middle of September.

  5. The most exciting news of all is welcoming a new pastor and his family into our church. I can not begin to tell you how giddy I am my pastor and his wife have a facebook, a twitter, and they blog. Oh my goodness they are cool and not old! I love it. When I say terms like html, or blogfrog, or wordpress, or blogger…I don’t get a weird look. (Well my husband who does not understand it all still looks at me weird but he loves me so that is ok).

There is more, but needless to say this is all above and beyond laundry, cleaning toilets, dishes, laundry, vacuuming, pulling weeds, laundry, ha… you get the picture. So if this personal blog becomes sporadic this month, you will know why. I am not going anywhere, but daily blogging may not happen. I am always updating Facebook and Twitter though.

  1. So, I laughed outloud when I saw “Oh my goodness they are cool and not old!” I am feeling very old these days and I don't know anything about being cool, but now I feel the need to really try! ha!

Counting down the days until we get “home!”

  2. Hey “cool” means you don't have to purchase depends yet, and you are YOUNG
because I am about a year older. So that makes you VERY VERY young, ha!

  3. Love your new header, my friend! I too love the Fall, and Spring, and Winter – lol…Just not a big Summer fan…
Sounds like you are going to be really busy. I can't wait until the new community opens up…Exciting stuff.

So cool that your church finally gets a new pastor. Sounds like the pastor and his family are 'hip' and know how to reach out beyond the church doors :)

  4. Lori, you are always up to something! I was wondering how your lunch with Noelle went on Saturday. Hmm …can't wait to hear more. I pray that your bible study is going well. Preparing and leading take much time, study and prayer. I can't wait to hear you on BlogTalkRadio. I have listened to many programs before but can't wait to hear you. Let us know when and what time, OK? And I promise not to record all of you umm's along with your mom. LOL.

    Love you,
    Debbie
