Thank you for your kind words….

by Lori

Today I feel a little questioned about my judgment on things (not personally, but indirectly/ and this has NOTHING to do with the Theology questions, you guys have been great! I have been enjoying the feedback!!). But I have stated here before, you may find me in sites where there is cussing, where there may be things that don’t exactly line up with my beliefs. If I only hang out with the people who agree with me then how can I be a witness, how can I show others about Christ? And I refer you to this post, here. To explain it better. In fact I have been able to reach out privately to some who I have visited that were struggling, but that is neither here nor there….

While I was feeling this I received the best compliment today since the first day I began blogging. I have thanked her privately but publicly I want you to know how much your comments made me feel, and that you stated my whole goal in this blogging adventure in one sentence…

You’ve made me want to search the Scriptures- thanks. :>)

Those nine words, wrap up my goal. I am not right all the time, in fact I can be wrong many of the times. But if what I say makes you dig in your bible, to verify what I say…then I say PRAISE GOD! That is my goal, that is my desire. Don’t take my word, take God’s word as truth.

Thank you Melanie

There’s nothing wrong with people questioning your judgement, LW. If the things you put out here make people stop and think and then do a little research on the subject, you’re doing a huge service.

That’s a GOOD thing and you should pat yourself on the back for that.

Exactly! Jesus often met people first where they were at.
Blessings!

The pleasure was all mine.

You are very welcome.

And thank you for writing in a way that makes all of us think, wonder, and want to search.

Laurel, you always have blessed me very much with your thoughts and writings. I appreciate your openness, but also your closness to God…

You are a blessing to all – to believers and unbelievers.

Blessings on your afternoon and always.

I think you’re right about visiting and sharing with others Laurel. It’s what Jesus told us to do.
And I must tell you, I went right to my Bible after reading your last post too.
I love your heart.

And, isn’t that the point of it all anyway? (((hugs)))

That is my goal as well. That’s one of my passions, to point people to the Word and encourage them to dig in — I know it is yours as well.

I’ve always thought that way. How can you witness to the lost if you are never with them.
my Mom, bless her, wouldn’t go to certain places because she was worried about what others would think of her.
Whenever someone is rude to me. I am so taken back. I wonder about the condition of their soul. I always pray for them. I hope that our fellow Christians wouldn’t behave that way. Mama Bear

One of my husband’s favorite Christian authors (Donald Miller) was even quoted as saying that he wasn’t sure he still believed everything exactly the same as he did when he wrote his first book.

We are all on a journey, and none of us have arrived. So, all we can hope to do is spur each other along! And, you do a fine job of that if I do say so myself! Keep up the challenges!!

Wouldn’t this world be oh, so lonely if we only hung out with people who agreed with us all the time?

Laurel,

God reaches out through you in so many ways. When you arrive a t the gates and the streest of gold there will be many, many in line to see you. to thank you that you shares Jesus in some way with them. So many will be strangers. I can’t wait to see who they are. Blessings my friend. Lynn

You are always so gracious. That’s why I love to visit your blog even if I don’t have a comment.

Also I tagged you for “5 reasons why I blog” but feel free to pass.
