I was recently watching a House episode on television where a woman’s leg was trapped under a large concrete slab from a building that had collapsed. Dr. Gregory House (played by Hugh Laurie) had to crawl in a hole to reach this woman and proceeded to tend to her wounds, but more importantly he kept her company during this unbelievable difficult time. The lady’s leg was trapped and it did not seem they were going to be able to free the leg, amputation was the only solution. There was nothing she could do to change the past, the slab was already pinning her down; but before Dr. House amputated her leg she asked him, “How much will it hurt?” (read the rest over here)

Can Yellow Ducks and Orange Lizards Both Be the Will of God?
I am over here today:
Recently I gave each of my children a bag of yellow squeaky ducks. I prayed about this decision and God led me to the yellow ducks, saying the yellow ducks are what is best for them. The next day I met up with my girlfriend and I found she gave her kids a bag of orange lizards. “Why didn’t you give them the yellow ducks,” I asked, “I believe God wanted all of us Christians to have yellow ducks. I studied God’s word, fasted, and prayed and God said yellow ducks was his will.” (click here to read the rest…)
What Running Has Taught Me
This summer I have taken up running. Well “running” may be a loose definition of what I do; I would rather call it run-gasp-for-air-walk then repeat. Whatever it is called, it has taught me a lot about myself and possibly my Christian walk. (click here to read the rest)
