God’s Truth Revealed by Kathy Howard

God’s Truth Revealed by Kathy Howard is a 12-session Bible study on the basics of Christianity.  Kathy Howard has become one of my favorite  teachers and I greatly enjoyed her past study Before His Throne. To explore her new book God’s Truth Revealed, you can find session one here.

God’s Truth Revealed takes participants on a straightforward journey through the Bible to understand the importance of knowing God, not just knowing about Him. Author Kathy Howard also provides biblical, historical, and scientific evidence to support creation; the reliability of the Bible; and the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. “God’s Truth Revealed” is also full of faith stories – stories about men and women who found faith in Jesus Christ and how their lives were changed. Do you know someone who wants to know more about Jesus? Does your church need resources for spiritual seekers and new Christians? Please take a look at “God’s Truth Revealed”. It could be just what you need.

One thing this bible study answers is “Does Truth Exist?”

The desire to be our own boss and decide truth for ourselves comes from our flawed human nature. But, we can’t wish away absolute truth simply because we may not like it. If an all-powerful, Creator God exists – and there is plenty of evidence, including scientific evidence to support His existence – then He has the absolute right to decide absolute truth. The wonderful thing is we can know this truth and we can know God. God has revealed His truth about life, faith, and eternity to us in the Bible.

If you are looking for a wonderful new bible study, I encourage you to check out Kathy Howard’s God’s Truth Revealed. Later this month I will have a review of it on my book review site, but I can already tell you it is a great study.

Read more about the study on God’s Truth Revealed website.

Pearl Girls Cover

Before I begin I want to let you know this is a biased review ;) . I am one of the contributors in Pearl Girls: Encountering Grit, Experiencing Grace. God allowing me to share  how he worked in my life and my husband’s life in hopes that it would offer encouragement to others, was God taking a small dream and blowing it out of the water.  But I don’t want to talk about me, I want to tell you about this devotional book.

If you google Pearl Girls: Encountering Grit, Experiencing Grace you will find many rave reviews and every review on Amazon has given Pearl Girls 5 stars.  Each devotional story is only a few pages long, but rich in content.  You will walk away changed, thinking about some of the stories for days.

It does not matter what you have done, where you have been, or how you feel about yourself there is a God who is CRAZY IN LOVE WITH YOU.  He wants to turn your story of pain, loss, suffering into a priceless pearl!

As women we know that EVERYONE has a story, so Margaret McSweeney has developed a site titled, Post-a-Pearl.

Inspired by the many women who opened their lives and shared their stories in Pearl Girls: Encountering Grit, Experiencing Grace, she has created a sister site, Post-a-Pearl. A place to continue the connection and encouragement the book began. I hope you will take the opportunity to connect through the Post-a-Pearl site. Please post YOUR OWN Pearl story and reach out to share your own story with others. Collaborating is an important purpose of Pearl Girls. We connect to make a difference in the world.

You can find all the info and instructions on the website. http://postapearlgirl.margaretmcsweeney.com/

It’s about Connecting Hearts and Souls to Impact the World.

Compiler Margaret McSweeney (or any of the contributors!) doesn’t keep a penny of any proceeds.  100% of the royalties go directly to two charities:

WINGS (women in need growing stronger). The proceeds will help fund a Safe House in the Chicago suburbs. It costs $50 a night to provide safe shelter for a woman and her children. During this economy, WINGS is receiving even more phone calls for a safe place to stay. Already, the Pearl Girls have provided 60 nights with the advance royalties. www.wingsprogram.com

Hands of Hope. The proceeds will help build wells in Uganda for school children. Can you imagine a child at school without a water fountain in the hallway where he or she can grab a quick sip of water in between classes on a hot day? These children have to drink from puddles and other water sources which carry diseases and parasites. It costs $12,000 to build a well in Uganda. Already, the Pearl Girls have provided funds to build ¼ of a well. www.handsofhopeonline.org
